What awaits you in V2

A new world, nine dimensions to unlock, ranked battles and a season pass. What you need to know before 14 November.

The world and its dimensions

You begin in the starting world, with the Kanto League as your goal. Once you beat the League, speak to Senn, the archivist: he starts the story of the dimensions.

There are no portals near spawn. Build your own, or search for those that can’t be built.

Quests

More than 500 quests await you in V2. Each dimension has its own story, characters, battles and bosses.

The “Histoire dimensionnelle” menu, in the HUD’s Contenus tab (U key), takes you back to characters you’ve already met.

Rematches against story Trainers unlock once you finish the questline. They don’t give quest rewards.

Ranked battles

Ranked battles have their own dimension, with an Elo ranking and three match formats.

Three formats

  • Singles with 6 Pokémon
  • Doubles with 4 Pokémon, 2 on the field
  • Short singles with 3 Pokémon

Every battle is played at level 100 using a copy of your team. Your real Pokémon stay unchanged: IVs, EVs, Natures, Abilities and held items remain yours.

A season lasts 90 days, with 4 rounds. At the end of each round, you receive rewards based on your tier, from Bronze to Diamant: a title, a badge and Box PvP keys.

Disconnecting during a match counts as a forfeit.

The season 1 pass

Season 1 is called “Pluie d’étoiles”. It lasts 90 days and has 100 tiers, with a free track for everyone.

The premium track, for the most rewards and cosmetics, costs 1,000 Linkys in game with /passe. It also gives Linkys and Box Gamepass keys as you reach each tier.

Weekly contracts reset every Monday at 9 am Paris time.

What changes from V1

  • The world starts from scratch. No Pokémon are transferred from V1, and V1 Linkys don’t carry over.
  • Your V1 ranks are kept, and returning players receive the “Pionnier V1” title.
  • A new launcher, version 2.0, installs the pack and keeps it up to date.
  • A new HUD with redesigned menus opens with the U key.
  • A battle camera follows attacks with a wide view. F10 turns it off or back on.
  • You can ride every Pokémon, on land, in water and in the air.
  • A shader made for the server, with three levels to choose from in the launcher.
  • New move animations will arrive in batches after release.
